Testimonials
Blue Oceans Bookkeeping is a real Gem. Tina is very personable, a great listener, but most of all she Knows her Stuff when it comes to the numbers. She is very patient, informative, and was able to show me where my business was losing money. My books were a huge mess, but thanks to Tina I'm able to track my accounts better, and make informed decisions. I highly recommend Blue Oceans Bookkeeping.

Tina has been handling my books for almost two years now. She is timely, reliable, and accurate. From the beginning, she answered any questions I had and worked well with my CPA come tax season. Can't say enough. Good things about her. Reach out and have her take a look at her. Can't say enough. Good things about her. Reach out, and you will find she is the best.

I have worked with Tina Barnes of Blue Oceans Bookkeeping for nearly 3 years, both in person and remotely. She knows QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online well and helped me with payroll, Federal and State taxes, deadlines, reports, HR, accounts receivable, invoice tracking, inventory and ordering systems, running interference with customers on billing issues, end of year accounting, Pandemic loans and grants, and more. She does it all with a smile and a gentle reminder to sign the paychecks and find the missing invoice she needs. I recommend her highly.

I am writing to give a full-throated endorsement of Tina Barnes.
When I was director of a nonprofit homebuilding group, Tina came to my attention in her role as the bookkeeper assigned to my organization by the new accountant we had under contract. When that accountant withdrew suddenly after just a few weeks, Tina stayed with us. The
measure of her dedication is that she stayed for more than four years.
She quickly became indispensable as a bookkeeper, demonstrating expertise in carrying out the day-to-day duties of the position. Soon she had opportunities to display an extensive depth of knowledge about bookkeeping practices, based on years of experience: Tina was able to identify many errors made by past bookkeepers, give detailed explanations to both myself as well as my board of directors, recommend options, and then make corrections as directed.
Tina was the point of contact for all vendors and contractors, the latter being especially lucky for us given her past experience in construction bookkeeping.
Tina fulfilled a second role for me, that of a property manager. After my organization completed a house, it was sold to a working family at an affordable price. My organization then provided all the client homeowners with monthly services, a program akin to a homeowners association. As the property manager, it was Tina’s role to create and issue monthly invoices, receive payments, receive maintenance requests, and schedule repair work and regular maintenance. As the main point of contact with all clients, she needed to not only provide excellent service, but do
so with sensitivity, confidentiality, and kindness—all functions which she performed admirably.
Outside of work, I knew Tina to be friendly and outgoing, with a far reaching personal network of friends and colleagues in the community. Many people looked to her as a friend, or depended on her as a resource. I have no doubt Tina will become as integral in her new community, and a
valued member of any workplace that is smart enough to bring her on board.
